Scholarships and Awards
Almost every country offers scholarships, awards, bursaries and other funding opportunities to prospect graduate students. The majority of scholarships and awards are geared towards top students. A small number of scholarships are need based. The majority of scholarships and awards only cover part of the costs, usually the tuition fee or at least part of the tuition fee is covered. Usually there are specific scholarships for local and international students.
MBA Scholarships by Business Schools
A number of Business Schools offer scholarships to local and international students. Several scholarships are only available to students from a specific country or region or to students with a special background such as MBA Scholarship for Engineers.
Scholarships from Foundations and Interest Groups
A number of prominent foundations and interest groups offer sometimes in collaboration with a Business School scholarships. Again, some organisations offer MBA scholarships for engineers, MBA awards or scholarships for women, or MBA scholarships for student from specific developing or emerging countries in Asia and Africa. Several Islamic foundations have scholarships on offer for students from qualifying countries in the Middle East and Asia.
Government Scholarships
Several governments offer scholarships to high calibre students at selected top ranked Business Schools. Student are usually expected to return to their home country upon completion of the degree in order to employ their newly gained skills to benefit their economy.
